Modern Heart is a light-hearted showcase of House, Club, Techno and other drum-forward dance music sounds, created by Daphne Too and sephabeats. Washington State residents, the two producer/DJs have been working together since 2022, including b2b performances, and local shows hosted under the same name. In this inaugural episode, each host brings a 1 hour mix to showcase their influences and some of their recent favorite music. In the first hour, Sepha brings a mix focused on connections between House and Club music. Daphne closes out the show with a mix bridging gaps between genres from a wide variety of dance music sounds. Our aim is to highlight the culture and connections of regional dance music scenes and genres. In future episodes, we plan to feature some of our favorite artists, both local and across the country, who exemplify the ties to these musical cultures. Tune in every 4th Thursday at 7 pm Pacific.
