Luna, he/him) @luna_sees is an ambient, techno, and experimental DJ based in Chicago. In 1993, he co-founded ele_mental, a Central Ohio collective known for its conceptual aesthetics and low budget approach, programming dozens of collaborative underground events. With Charles Noel (Arch_Typ), he also co-ran the 21-22 Corporation, an experimental label whose eclectic sounds and unusual package designs earned the label an invitation to the Sónar festival in Barcelona in 2001. As a DJ, Lunar likewise treats music as a way to awaken the mind and body to new possibilities. Through his selections, he tries to conjure ancestral memories while inviting listeners to experience the present moment; pushing and pulling waves of sound just as the moon influences the sea.
