| A talk-meets-workshop on how Isotopías grew from a digital lit mag into an independent press — with zero funding, volunteer labor, and 200+ contributors across Latin America, the US, and Europe. We'll cover the unglamorous mechanics (editorial workflow, publishing at no cost to contributors, getting an ISSN, printing your first book) and the lineage that guides us: Latin America's mimeograph journals like El Corno Emplumado, which proved sixty years ago that writers holding the means of publication can build community across borders. Attendees leave with a practical roadmap for starting their own publication. | |
